Flanders Make Symposium 2017

On Tuesday 21 November 2017, we will organise our second symposium. During this inspiring day, we will discuss the trends that define the future of the manufacturing industry. We will illustrate our research results and show concrete cases of companies with whom we collaborate.

Exciting speakers such as Jost Bernasch (VIRTUAL VEHICLE), Geert Ostyn (PICANOL GROUP), Goedele Heylen (NIKO) and Prof. Wim Vanhaverbeke (UHASSELT) will examine topics such as smart products and production methods, competitiveness in a globalised world and innovation in a Flemish context. Philippe Muyters, Minister of Innovation, will conclude the day.

In addition, we will introduce you to our mobile laboratory for flexible and human-centred production. With this mobile, fully connected research infrastructure, we can bring technology to companies, work on co-creation using the most advanced production methods and accustom operators with new production processes to prepare them for the future. Unique in Belgium and in support of our industry!

Our annual symposium is also a great network platform. You will meet, among others, business managers, CTOs and R&D-managers of large companies and SMEs. During these networking moments, you can also join several demonstrations illustrating the results of our cooperation with companies and other research institutions.

We’ll see you at Kinepolis Antwerp on 21 November from 8.30 am onwards.
